As a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst you will be responsible for completing all financial planning and analysis requirements to support the Canadian business. This encompasses completing monthly and annual business reporting for executive management, driving the annual budgeting and forecasting process and completing monthly reporting to our supplier partners.  This role will also be a right hand to the Senior Manager, Finance to ensure all month end activities are complete and accurate.   You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Commercial Leadership Team is supported with accurate reporting and analysis for business performance.

Reports To: Vice President, Finance

Responsibilities

  • 35% Complete month-end and year-end reporting activities including sales and overhead reporting and corporate reporting package completion
  • 30% Complete the annual budget process including preparation of regional and functional budget plans, sales plans for specific suppliers by brand and region and cashflow plans for treasury management
  • 15% Complete regular business performance forecasts detailing latest estimates vs budget for revenue, brokerage commission, operating expenses and earnings
  • 15% Support the Senior Manager, Finance with the month end close process by reviewing key revenue/commission and expense accounts for completeness, completing account reconciliations for a small number of accounts and providing required reporting to key supplier partners
  • 5% Complete adhoc analyses and reporting as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a corporate finance department
  • Accounting designation preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel and MS Office
  • Sound knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems including reporting software (Oracle)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving skills
